Last week I found these super cool dirt bike pants at Family Thrift Outlet for $2 and I wanted something equally cool to wear with them. I had this houndstooth blazer that I was going to list on Depop ages ago and I put them together and thought they made such an awesome mix. So, I used the dirt bike pants as the inspiration for this blazer bustier concoction of awesomeness! This is a slightly more advanced tutorial, but it's definitely worth the watch. I hope to inspire you to try something new. It's funny what we can accomplish when we throw fear aside.
I recently went thrifting and found amazing pieces for the spring and summer. One of the things that I found was this green mesh top for $2 at Family Thrift Outlet. I was super excited because I have been looking for one, but I couldn't decide what to wear underneath. A lot of girls wear pretty bralettes or sports bras, but after having three kids my abs haven't quite bounced back yet. LOL! (I never had abs.) Anyway, I wanted something graphic that would peek through the mesh top, so I went looking for a cool sports tank top and couldn't find any with large graphics. So, I found this Adidas t-shirt for $6.50 at my local thrift store and turned it into a tank top. This project literally took me maybe 20 minutes including recording time and I absolutely love how it turned out. This is spring/summer layering at it's best!
Are you a YouTuber, Blogger, or Social Media Influencer? Then this is the DIY for you! I love to wear something that represents my brand, channel, or social platform when I'm about and about because every person I encounter could be a potential viewer or collaborator. Try making your "Shameless Plug" tee and see what opportunities come your way!
One of my favorite things to refashion are men's button up tops! They are a great starting point for so many things. I have been seeing these amazing puffy sleeve tops everywhere and I absolutely love how my version turned out. It was so easy to make using three men's dress shirts that I got at the thrift store for a total of $5.00. This one is definitely worth a try!

Don't you just love the freedom to create without worrying about the outcome. Thrifting and my handy dandy sewing machine give me this freedom. I had this white denim jacket that I knew I wasn't going to wear as is and this damaged camisole with pretty lace. So...I decided to put them together and see what happened. I think they make a happy, mixed up, crazy marriage!

Raid the men's section of your local thrift store or your man's closet and get ready to make the easiest dress ever!!!
I first showed this dress in a thrift haul and it was highly requested that I do a tutorial on how to make a hoodie dress. This is so simple that I actually feel silly for posting it, but I hope it's helpful. I use this tutorial a lot for any thick oversized men's tops, like a hoodie, jacket, sweatshirt, or sweater (jumper). They just make the best laid back mini dresses ever and they pair so well with sneakers (trainers).

I'm back with another thrifted transformation! I thrifted this skirt last summer for less than 10 cents and just hadn't fixed it. I'm so glad I finally did because it's perfect for spring and summer.

I'm back with the outcome of last week's thrifted transformation! I already knew that I wanted to really distress the denim jacket a lot, but at the last minute I decided to add the custom DIY patches on the back. And I just can't get enough of the athleisure trend so the side striped pants were a must. And I think these both qualify as fashion hacks everyone should know!

I have been seeing these everywhere and wanting to make a pair. I simply bought two pairs of jeans and used the front of one pair and the back of the others. So, I'm going to hang out with you guys today, show you my new awesome artwork, and make some jeans. 😉
